Perhaps we should do kind of a informal inhouse rule thing about making sure buyers / sellers go through some kind of dispute abc 123 process before names get posted as to who is or is not reputable.  Basics like, did you e-mail him, did you request tracking#, Did you request copy of shipping bill or receipt.?  Just a thought.
No one likes getting ripped off for sure,  it's just hard to call a " my bad" after you light off the flame on someones rep.

If someone IS a scammer, Please send out the watch/ warning/ black list and let us know so no one else get's screwed.  Flame on.

(and watch for roofing nails and spilled brake fluid)

I agree, I was getting all ticked off reading through here thinking here @ TDI we have a small enough community that this type of thing doesn't seem to happen very often, as a matter a fact I feel like I have gained some good friends off this board through purchases.

Sorry to hear about he divorce Sylvester, even a clean one sucks.
I hope you can get things figured out with our fellow TD'ers soon and hope your life gets better. Gotta feel for a fellow going through that crap..

I spilled a box of aluminum roofing nails in my driveway once.  Those little buggers are non-magnetic and so fairly difficult to clean up entirely on a dirt driveway.  I kept getting poked tires...

I can get boxes of those pretty cheap to donate to the cause.... :D Comes with being a contractor's kid.

Unfortunately I'm not dealing with mk2fanatic (sorry about your situation man)

I'm just going to go to the police. I haven't heard from the guy in almost two weeks which was when he supposedly shipped it UPS from Quebec to Ontario, which I know would take 5 days max and would come with a tracking number. Hopefully I have enough information to get some action

You should ask him if he shipped it insured.  Even if he never shipped it, If he gives you false info to put in a claim, the postal service would be all over him for postal fraud.  In the US, the postal service is serious about that stuff.

This is the dickwad sylvesters ex... and we were never married, he is all lies!!! We split cuz of his lies.  His wife's engagement ring was my old ring... he stole money from our 9 year old in the sum of 500 dollars, he owes me 6 g's now for our daughters, I hope all has been resolved, but anyone who knew him or me I hope the truth is known now, he effed up!  Sorry i'm goin off but seriously, i like how he said that we had a messy divorce... never married, and was never any issues during the break up.  if any of you need his address feel free to drop me a line and i will provide you with any info you need.

I've got one that posts here sometimes:

Mk2Fanatic

I sent him money and he sent me a false tracking #. He never did send me the part. I have yet to get my money back after a month.

Avoid dealing with this person.

Yikes... don't tell me that... waiting on a K14... and waiting... and waiting... with the tracking code that doesn't work....

A darn shame too.. I can understand gasser owners treating each other this way, but diesel dudes ??!!!

I haven't seen Sylvester post in a while. At least he refunded my money. Baselyne/fwd_motion screwed me out of $200. Real name is Jeff DesRoche. Steer clear.
