glow plug fuse
« on: September 24, 2007, 10:51:06 am »
hi,

my glow plug fuse has blown. not really sure why, the car came that way. i'm talking about the metal strip that sits on the fire wall.

i have a '93 td golf. the fuses seem to come in 80 and 150 amps ratings.

which one is correct?

thanks,

Martin

I dont ever recall seeing one that was 150 or 80 amp
all the fuses I've ever seen in mk2's are 50, and i think mk3 tdi's are 30 amp metal strip fuses

I stand corrected, I think mk3 chassis uses either a 50 or 80 amp fuse...

the fuse you need is a 50A  you should be able to get it from the dealer. i just got one yesterday for a total of .92 cents.   here is the part number: N-017-125-1   that is the part number for 50A   which is what i needed for my MK1

I don't think a mk1 fuse will be the same. Is there no part number on the old fuse?
