I've been meaning to reply in this thread for a while. If you need parts for this engine I have a couple of complete engines, one good injection pump etc. PM for details. I also have a .pdf manual.

Progress is slow but sure
we are headed in the right direction. My friend has a digital SLR so I'll get him to send better pics than my camera phone when he can.
We ended the after noon by making the first initial cuts into the rear after we got the bumber/massive freaking hitch rebar off. The tar is also all coming out, a chunk as big as the average hand weighs at least 2lbs, it is damn heavy. Supposedly 50-80lbs can be shaved form the car by removing it alone depending on how thick and what year car you have.
The front yard carnage striping out the rear of the car to start cutting.
Front seat
Back seat (Note floor bumped up by the damn forklift at the wrecking yard!) Good thing the metal is thin there it is easy to hammer back into shape.
More back seat
Car backed into the garage, removing "bumper" and trailer hitch support (rated to 1800KG!)
That is about it for now. We did cut most of the offending metal away today, but I neglected to take pics, doh!

That's Peter's old car! I've seen it (before the carnage), it's a sweet ride. Good luck.
FWIW, I'm pretty sure he imported it directly from Germany
