Just finished building this for a member on the boards here, this is how the new production ones will come. I just got a camera so I can finally post pics!
Downpipe:

With V band flange:

Compared to stock downpipe:

Top view installed, brake line and coolant line clearance, it is a bit close to the brake line, lots of room on the coolant line.

Shift linkage clearance at max throw on the o2o transmissions:

Steering rack clearance, fits 1.9 (tall block) or 1.6 (short block). 1.6 block used here.

Half of the v band flange welded to the flex joint ready for action!
Now that is sexy
Hell yeah, that thing it HUGE!!! What's the radius on those 3" bends?
HOLY SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...
dude that is sexy! makes me want to redo mine all in 3 inch
4.5" radius on the 3" bends, the old downpipes were 2.5 di. by 4" radius.
Thomas you need to worry about getting your ride back down here for some fueling mods more

Cool thanks. By looking at the pic with the stock DP next to it it's hard to believe it can fit in the engine bay without interfering with something, nice work man!

I was wondering about using that fiber glass tape on the exhaust pipe to keep the heat in and as well protect surrounding areas from heat damage. is fiber glass tape what i need or is it something else?
thanks Dave for still producing DP's for our diesels!!!

I totally agree, I wand a turbo diesel so badly. I can only imagine how nice it will be after I'd done working on it.
