From what I remember we tried to replicate a mini D port on the intake, and opened up the exhaust ports, bowl work under the seats, and we really opened up the callway exhaust mainfold so it created a little step between the exhaust port and exhaust manifold to help prevent reversion but still flow better than stock. Sorry no pics well before digital. Heck having a computer back then and you'd be called a computer geek :-)
actually come to think of it, the intake port kind of looked the opposite of a tdi intake port. I always believed the flat D portion of the port was always on the short radius of the port. Like you would see on modified bug engines. Someone chime in on that one.
