i have a very slow head gasket leak froming fromt the front corner of the block, in front of cylinder 1, should i be concerned it's a slow leak, probably in like 1-2 mounts it went down like a centimeter
Coolant I'm guessing?
That's how mine leaked and I decided to replace it. But mine stopped once and a while, and then would start again randomly. Defintly not as bad as yours though
Lower that boost down if you need to nurse it along, otherwise mine as well change it before you put coolan in your oil or something bad happens far away from home or in the middle of winter.
i wonder if this would work for you
http://www.steelseal.com/apparently seals up leaks. would the leak get worse? if left unattended, probably. if you beat it on really hard... i'd say it would just get worse. usually you get a buildup of steam which increases the pressures significantly. it really depends on what is leaking, how its leaking, and if you're getting coolant in oil.
if the coolant is only leaking out the side of the block... maybe this steel seal crap will work for you? even with the high boosting? i wonder if it would make it a pain to clean off the head / block though.. :?:
yeah theres no coolant in the oil and it just comes out the side of the front/corner of the block, i half think it did it before i even messed with my pump but it's hard to say, maybe i'll turn my pump back to stock and put the bov spring back in it, not that it matters since it's going off to paint for a couple months within the week.
we used to have these lil black cubes at work that looks like tar
lol they were called
"engine rebuilder cubes"
thatll stop the leak,,and it can be flushed out when u get to replacing that hg
