I loosened the nut put a 2 jaw puller on, tensioned it tapped the puller bolt ... nothing tried PB blaster for two days with more pulling and tapping ... nothing. Tried heating the pulley hub with a torch and pulling tapping while hot ... nothing. Is there some other trick or just more of the same ... any help appreciated.
Try tapping the pulley itself when looking down at it so right on the teeth, while the puller has tension on it. I have had a lot of stubborn ones, even one that broke. good luck
The last two I pulled took alot of tension with the puller to get them to come off. I'd turn 1/8, hit the bolt with the hammer, and repeat until it came off
I dont know what type of puller you are using, but on the pullers I've used, you screw the bolt in the center of the puller in until the pulley breaks free. I've never "tapped" anything, of course, I am not sure what type of puller you are using. But if its a standard 2 jaw puller, just wind the puller bolt into the center of the sprocket shaft until it breaks free.
