I would like to get 90 - 100 hp, and I know that "unscrewing" the pump it will get me up to 90 hp (ofcourse with intercooler)...But, my car is a daily driver and I wanna keep the mileage...
So, I was wondering how about to do ONLY the governor mod...I assume that mileage will stay the same until the point where the governor should kick in, but, will I get the desired 90 - 100 hp?
I forgot to mention it is an ECO with TD pump...
The governor mod alone isn't going to get you 90-100hp, you will need to increase your boost and fuel to match that. Even on well tuned diesels, economy usually isn't too bad if you keep your foot out of it, but thats pretty hard to do when you have that extra power there
i'm curious how much it takes to get 100hp out of a 1.6TD with an intercooler. could this be accomplished just by cranking up the boost and fueling(with out doing the gov mod but with the timing set to 1mm) what kind of torque would this produce
I highly doubt you could hit 100whp without the governor modd, unless you have some serious LDA mods and a bigger head/plunger, camplate etc.
ok then. well with the governor mod, 1mm timing and more boost more fuel, is 100hp achievable?
i'll have to have a little talk with my dad about his 85 jetta td mmm. been trying to get him to give it a little performance since he first bought it for $200
Post some shots of your car. I've never seen a Cabby/diesel.

I don't see anything that indicates someone here has a cabby diesel. I'm doing one...did you post in the wrong place?
Best,
