^Yes, the diesel rollbent buggy is duramax powered, they get over 900hp and 1200lb/ft out of it IIRC....
The project we're talking about is a Samurai with a 1.6TD in it. They later built a chopped 2 1/2 ton army truck to haul it in.

Just got my pump back from Giles a week or so ago. Got the performance rebuild, have run one tank of fuel through my 1.6NA Caddy. Can really tell a difference. I drive this truck daily, 135 miles a day 85 of them miles are at a constant 70mph with no problem! First tank I averaged 45mpg, should get better then that as I didn't baby it at all!
I'm working on rebuilding a 1.9TD AAZ to put in my Suzuki Samurai. I will diffenitally be sending that pump to Giles also!
Great Job Giles

Nowhere near enough mention of the pump builder

Cool little buggy, impressive crawling torque was evident.
Was it me or did he gloss over some pretty important details when going MLS on a 1.6?

yeah he did, he was just throwing out numbers, he said stock gasket is only good for 20psi, which i would definitely say is not true, also when removing the injectors he was pulling away from the head, i cringed. that thing really sounded mean after it had the pump and more boost tho. definitely the power block episode that has excited me the most in a long time.

they arent true diesel heads, its quite appearent..
I disagree, he's built some killer oil burners & has to cater to a pretty large & varied audience. With all their builds the Suzuki with a VW TD was the favorite not some jacked up pickup with a big block.
