Trying to retain the vacuum operated high idle control which mounts to the side of the AAZ's LDA in which the nipple comes out of on the 1.6td LDA cover since I'm up here in Canada and it's gettin cold already.
Can I use the 1.6td boost pin without the use of the adjustable 1.6td LDA cover? Planning on swapping in the pin and spring only if that would work.
Damn, I thought one for sure had gone by the wayside. Guess I asked the question wrong, but someone got it.

Thanks for the response. What does the adjustment on the top of the LDA actually do? Change the spring tension?
It changes the stop of the pin so that with 0 boost you can already have some fuel enrichment - therefore it will set the off boost 'smoke' setting.
However, this action will preload the spring and you loose the linearity of the enrichment. Ideally this preload would be dialled out by moving the base of the spring a corresponding amount, with the starwheel that you haven't got

Note the considerable difference between AAZ and 1.6 spring, you may need to shim the spring (packing at spring base) to get the correct 0 boost point.
I've got exactly the same setup in my AAZ pump / GTD pin hybrid, I've not sorted the spacers out yet...
