hi there. i have an 94 golf with the AAZ in it. The piece that comes from the turbo down is made of cast iron, it is then attached to another piece of downpipe with some sort of C clamps. I looked on the net and found a downpipe for the AAZ and it does not have the c clamps and it has flex pipe. Whats with my downpipe? It also have the K-14 turbo. Just confused, please enlighten me.
cheers
Larry
Strange, sounds like you have a downpipe off a much earlier engine! Can you attach a photo?
yeah they used the c clamp things on most the mk2 and in the gtd engines but i had the downpipe replaced with the standard aaz one when the engine went in, Piks would be great
It's a toliet bowl with a cat from a 1.6 TD ?
You need a new downpipe assy in either 2.25 or 2.50 in S/S and replace those rubber hoses also there in bad shape ( pic )
GB
would you suggest replacing all rubber lines? also where is a good place to get the steel injection lines? i think thats what they are called, the really rusty ones. I am in ontario, canada. Can you order the rubber lines or do you just buy hose from the auto store in the same diameter and put it in?
If you fuel in and out is soft line ( 7 MM )
Filter to pump ( hose assy banjo to banjo ) 12.00
some are 2.5mm manifold to pump ( vacuum )
turbo wastegate 3.5 mm
Any vw shop will have the vw cloth type
There is a nice kit from greaseworks.com for the injectors with cap
Dont forget new nozzle brackets ( injectors ) 3 total
2 each that hold 2 lines, one each that holds four lines
I dont have the AAZ hardline part #'s , stock up there since it's a aaz
get the downpipe that is in the For sale section from Farkman !
