ok, i have an AAZ engine in my Caddy, K14 turbo, 1.6GTD pump, and it has a front mount intercooler...
i am getting NO smoke at all, even running @ just 7psi, i have a boost controller and upped the boost to 14psi and this made no difference to how fast my caddy went... so i figure i need more fuel
if i turn the max fuel screw in, the tickover RPM goes up, i have backed out the min throttle screw as far as it will go (the arm hits my intercooler piping) and adjusting the "idle adjust" screw as per this pic doesnt do anything at all...

is there any other way to drop the RPM on idle?
perfect, thanks for that! some pics may have helped, but i will look at the pump and try and work out what parts are referred to!
The also a point where the idle can't be adjusted lower if you've maxed out the smoke screw. At least that's what happened in my old 1.6TD. I had a 1200 rpm idle

It was smooth to say the least.
