Need help choosing turbo

I am building a turbo diesel dragster and would like some insight for the turbo to be used.
My engine is a MF code mechanical 1.6 block with an AAZ code hydrolic 1.9 head ported and polished.
The intake manifold is from a Corrado and the exhaust manifold is an aftermarket cast iron one with a T3 flange.
The IP is one from Giles, heavily moded for such application. Stock TD injectors. Front mount intercooler.
The trans. is from a MK4 Jetta TDI code EGR.
I'd like to run the Merc. T3 turbo that I have but I think the compressor's outlet and exhaust's A/R's is to small.
Ex. is 48 and compressor is 47.
I'm not concerned with low end boost as much as top end, but don't want to be left standing at the starting line waiting for boost.
Does anyone have a good recommendation as to how big of a turbo to use?
Ask any questions needed to.
Thanks

if you already got the merc turbo i would maybe just throw it on and start testing...
if I was building a drag only rig I would maybe even try a big cummins turbo...go big and light it off with a small shot of NX!!

sounds like a sweet and fun project!

hey josh, once i get my twins on, and you get your car set up, we need to have a date at PIR... or some deserted long straight stretch.
and uh, i think a shot of LOL to light the turbo would be awesome. i havent heard any real life experiences of running LOL on a VW.

I have'nt really thought about the NX. But watermeth, yes. I don't want it to get to clutered under the hood.
I will run the T3, but I know it will be at its limits with the pump Giles sent me.
I don't want to run a VNT turbo, due to the complex linkage to controll it.
I think a fella here is running a GT2860 on his 1.9L. I don't know enough about turbo maps to decide if that one is big or small for diesel applications.
Any other ideas?

there is more under the hood with meth inj. all you have under the hood for LOL is a solenoid and a nozzle. crap, most people arent even running nozzles, just progressive controllers piped right into the intake. you will have a big jug with the meth setup. im not trying to push the nos on you, but most of the nos setup goes in the trunk and under the dash.

is that one of those el-cheapo flea-bay manifolds? have you fit it to a head yet with an intake to see how everything clears?
