you pretty much need a giles pump for 220 horses. or be able to build a giles pump by yourself. and you need a nice big turbo. im pretty sure no stock turbo would be happy singin along at 220 horsepower. you NEED head studs and a metal head gasket. and you gotta get a good intake that will flow plenty of air. and port the head. build a big exhaust. you know what, im gonna stop here...
go look in the FAQ section, theres topics how to build power. they tell you everything you need to know, and alot better than i can.

stud the block. if you use main studs and head studs with some good ARP rod bolts, it should be good to go for any horsepower.
do a search for 1.6/1.9 hybrid. there are pages on here detailing a build of one. i know for a fact, ive read about it. just remember to plug the spare oil drain in the front of the head.

i think it would work great. i just have a VNT 17 on my car and i love it. spools up like a tiny turbo, but boost like a big turbo.

for more than 200hp the vnt20 would be too small.
i would put one on my passat but not trying to reach tha kind of hp...
i thing mjf had one and remember he said that would top out at 180hp, give or take

a 22 would probably be closer. how big is your wallet? or your brain? you are going to need a huge one of those 2 things to make this thing have 250 horsepower. you either gotta have access to a machine shop and know how to use it, ir have a wallet big enough to pay the guys inside it to do the work. lol.
or you could always put an HX30 or HX35 on there, they would push out 250 horses worth of air no problem! and they are super cheap since everyone is taking them off there 12 valve cummins engines.

dude, seriously, do some reading, the search function is your friend. people on here have done big horsepower builds on here, and detailed every aspect of them. andy2 has compounds, dyrtybyl or boostedblktruck was going to build a turbo/super charged engine. if you are gonna wait around for people to hold your hand, you may be waiting a while. now go get friendly with that search function. there are only like 400 pages of good information on this forum. how do you think all of us on here got so smart? real life experiences and reading posts on here from others.

im not being a dick, you are just asking un necessary questions. that are asked QUITE FREQUENTLY. so redrotors put a "frequently asked questions" section. its for the people who come in here and say "i want more power, how do i get more power out of my engine?" all the super common modifications are there. basically the necessary one. use the search function. read. dude, dont get butt hurt, the veterans on here told me the same damn thing when i first showed up on the board. you dont need someone to tell you something. you just have to find the bit of info you want on the website. like i said, theres almost 400 pages of GOOD MATERIAL in just the IDI section alone. build ups of EVERYTHING. turbo this, supercharged that, natural aspirated, anything you can think of. people have built it and talked about it.
and just so you know, i wasnt being mean to you. i was just telling you where you can find the answers. think of it, do you think we like typing the same thing over and over again? cause usually we get quite a few people every week that ask the same thing "how do i make more power?" you gotta look at it from my point of view too.
FAQ section and search function are your friends

sorry, my bad, theres only 328 pages of good useful material.
