...balancer.  (Maybe owner, too...)

How much runout (wobble) is normal in a two-pulley harmonic balancer?  While looking for unrelated trouble with the engine running, I happened to notice some wobble in the balancer pulley.  (1.6 TD with A/C)

Thanks...

there's a small chance that you have the dreaded crank sprocket issue more common with the 1.9 AAZ engines.  it is much more common with the serpentine belt pulley system.  if you can take a short video clip of the wobbling, that will also help diagnose the problem.

Hmmmmm.  I'll see if I can do some sort of video clip.  Haven't tried to post one before.  Guess I need to get up to speed with this stuff.

maybe you could view some video's of the 1.9AAZ pulley wobble to get an idea of what to look for?  i know there has to be at least one floating around on here... i sure hope thats not the case though.  if its not too bad at this point, possibly getting the crank end machined flat, and a new pulley with a new crank bolt (properly torqued) would solve the problem.
