Yeah it fits in there. It rattles around a bit on the channel though.
It's a lot quieter then straight pipe

so does it just like end there? or does it continue at all? how is it for like exhaust getting in to the car? I wish to do a similar design in someways.. Dp back behind the shifter, cherry bomb, and then a side exit with a cool tip

Here it is installed. I love coat hangers

I haven't noticed any smoke in the cabin.
When I do my motor swap (hopefully soon) I'll get a real exhaust... maybe. I'm swapping to a gas 4:2:1 DP and exhaust manifold so I'll need to change everything. The Cherry Bomb is what I was thinking but it will probably be too loud. Something custom might be in order.
That's actually my old muffler that fell off on the 404 on my way into work. That very same coat hanger was hanging onto it for dear life until I could get off the highway and safely put the muffler in my hatch. The exhaust gasses are going in the OUT right now. I was planning on putting a tip on it to aim it down but time wasn't on my side

How loud is yours Duane? Would it make a good daily/road tripper or would it get too loud?

I seriously wish I was kidding. Ever since writing off the Jetta I had to rush putting my Golf back on the road. The alternator doesn't work at all, the battery is probably about dead from me running it down and then charging it each night. There's the exhaust, the shifter, the control arms, alignment blah blah blah. I hate this car. Mind you, I feel 5 times safer in it then I ever did in the G5 rental car. That and it goes over twice as far for the same amount of money
