I didn't like the drinking straw that the factory put on so i fixed it.
3" straight pipe no muffler for a day or two until I go deaf.

Deaf? I wonder what Db you are talking about here -
I don't know but my friend had a Caddy with three inch exhaust and it actually sounded good without a muffler! Not that loud and one could hear the wine of the turbo - cool!

Yah I see what you mean - Andrew, I think your comments and answers make more sense than everyone else's - but might just be me - anyway I saw the intake and was wondering the same thing - say I see others kind of building a home built ram duct affect for NAs out of black PVC piping - has anyone thought of putting some small 12V electric fans inline or in front of piping to act as a sort of mini supercharger all at the flick of a switch? I wonder where I might look to get some? any ideas on this?
Thanks

Do those actually work?
If they actually do why doesn't everyone have one and why don't cars come from the factory with them?
For that low price i really wonder what you're actually getting.
Anyone used/have one of these?
Do they make more than 5 psi? at any cfm

It's an absolute scam. A blower that is cheaper than your heater fan motor is supposed to pressurize your intake? Then take a look at the wiring. The wires and switch provided couldn't run enough amps to run a blower capable of generating even 2 pounds of boost.

Exactly!!!! Good scam for Joe the street racer and his rice burner... Now that his Civic drove through a Pep Boys and every accessory in the store stuck to his car he needs more power to move all that junk. Yet he can't even afford the $200 made in China Turbo because he blew his cash on foot shaped gas pedals and Yosemite Sam (Back Off!) mud flaps.. Of course he really needs some extra power to save his rep cause he got his a$$ kicked when he tried redlight racing a 1.5 N/A Rabbit.. Thus the market for electric superchargers has been born..

Great job.If you run that 3" pipe out the back or side it will be surprisingly quiet inside the car, but outside it is a different story.
I ran 2.5" on my old flat red rabbit with nothing for a while and when I added the last peice to get out the back it wasn't too bad while driving. The local cop ended up pulling me over after a month of driving through town at 5:39am to get to work and said I had 2 days to fix it. I put the cheapest cherry bomb on there and that was it the rest of the time I owned it.

its not a scam, its a huge scam
but it would work on some engines.
the problem is airflow, these puny units can't deliver enough for a normal engine.
by my calculations I would need at least four (bigger than those shown) for my gas 1.4L 73hp clio...
that would be to produce about 0,1Bar of boost and it would take almost 80Amps out of the battery and alternator.
soo.. SCAM!!!
