I ended up going with the site mentioned above... Ordered a whole new set just to be on the safe side. Shipping cost more than the lines did, but all told it's about the same as going to the dealership locally and buying just one, and I'm getting all 4 "just in case"
Thanks for the offer though!

These guys:
http://www.importpartsconnection.com/My set should be showing up over the next few days. I'll let you know if they're a good fit or not, and what the quality, etc is like.
I used 1988 for the model year - for some reason they don't have a TD listed for most other years, just an NA. Like I said, here's hoping they fit!

Thanks for the reply. In the meantime, Vince Waldon has rescued me with a set of used lines that should work, so I think I'm OK now... Neil

Good stuff...
I nabbed a used set as well. I'm not 100% sure these ones will fit and I now realize I need to have a spare anyhow!
Where on the shore are you?

Can I state the obvious ? Be sure to install all 3 clamps on the lines after you install them. I had one developed a leak once when I didn't install the 3 - 4 clamp - this allowed them to vibrate against each other and spring a leak.

Yeah, absolutely!
It never hurts to re-state the important things - never know when someone else who hasn't read that before will stumble across the thread!

I can't believe how expensive they are! Good grief!
Prothe doesn't have em. I was told i have to use 1.9 hard lines on a 1.9 head. Where on earth am i going to find that. If hard lines for the 1.6's are hard to find where do guys get em for the aaz???

I think (someone correct me if I'm wrong) you need the 1.9 lines due to the longer injector bodies (the injector is taller, so the place where the line bolts on is higher up), and because the outlet fittings on the pump aren't the same length (either longer or shorter, not sure). Just for laughs I tried bending my broken one a little - they're THICK steel, they probably won't take well to any "adjustments" one would try to make.
The manufacturer of the lines I ordered new is Cohline. I'd imagine they make a 1.9 set given that they make 1.6 ones and they're a German company. Might try finding out who their dealers are - I wasn't able to find anyone in Canada but I only looked around so much. If you find them let us know!
BTW the new ones I ordered were $12.40 US each plus shipping. The only shipping option they had to Canada was UPS. Cheapest was about $14 but then you get hit with a $20 brokerage fee, so really $35. They have a $60 "express" shipping option that includes the brokerage fee (according to the UPS website), plus it should get them here a week sooner. 5 days of taking transit, $3.75 each way, that's $7.50 a day or $37.50 for a work week! Yeah, I went with the faster shipping...

Wowza. I think i really hooped my self. Im planing on just swapping for an aaz head. and keeping everything else. if i do that ... from most of my reading it should be fine. The head is identical just bigger ports and the cam goes on different.

If you keep your 1.6 pump, 1.6 injectors, and I'm guessing 1.6 pump mounting bracket (?) you're probably fine. Someone more experienced can verify though!

Yeah other people doing that (which is what im doing) dont seem to mention hard line troubles but this thread is great for finding replacements.
