Does anyone have any ideas on a good NEW turbo to replace my tiring Garrett T-3 ? I need a direct boltup that will give me power a little lower in the rpm range, but still give me 20-25 psi reliably.

I'm pretty sure Giles can get you a new T3 or K24

Wow, I thought they were obsolete. I'll try him.

a VNT if you have money to burn?
I don't know if a VNT is just an easy swap someone will chime in but if you want a big upgrade a VNT would do it for your.
But they're expensive

Sorry, but for my money a VNT is unnecessarily complex. It also has an electronically controlled linkage with no way to control nor activate it on my engine. A simple turbo is what I crave.

Why not just order a high performance rebuild kit and do it up? Or send it off for full rebuild and balance, it's like 400 bucks.

What a great site. It will be done on Maine, but I wonder if there's anyone that does this in Canada?

Steward, call this guy, he is awesome:

Talk to him about your application. I think it is a one man operation, and Tim is a real cool dude and may have some good advice. He rebuilt my T3 very affordably if you wish to go that route, he also balances and does all the other stuff, it was like brand new when it came back.

I guess I'm really looking for a "better" turbo. A ball bearing unit that spins up earlier.
