Quick question.
My glow plug indicator on on my 85 Jetta TD blinks after staying one solid after the glow plugs heat up. :? Can anyone please tell me what that means.
Thank you for your time,
Joshua

Seek ye "water separator" and you'll find everything you need, including pictures of the offending beast and how to excise its demons.

cut it out!
basically you either have an electrical fault or your water seperator is requesting to be drained (it has a sensor that will alert you with a flashing GP light when it detects water). Be aware, it almost never seals once opened and will let air in, which is why mine is on the ground, and not attached to my car

Located under the car in front of the passenger side rear wheel.
Like others have said, dont even think that you can just turn the knob and drain it. It will most likely break and if it doesnt do that, it will ALWAYS leak.

Actually, I was fortunate enough to be able to open and drain mine. Seals well now too! I guess I'm just lucky! Maybe you will be too!
