Cold compression on Cylinder 4 is about 300 PSI
I have my rabbit injector in it now with no change and in the rabbit it was fine, I had this problem last year and when the pump guru said it was junk I was hoping I had a chance at it running after the new pump.
I have no way of pop testing right now, but want to be able soon...I saved the post of the build your own pop tester with a bottle jack.
will do. I messed around with this last year, but same deal and now it has the rabbit injector in there same difference. How much luck have you guys had with re-ring??? I see mike w has some rather cheap.
re-ring can do wonders. it's more of a short term benefit though. really helps reduce blowby. if the cylinders are really ovalled though, it won't really make too much of a difference.
ahh, loosening the high pressure lines to isolate the defective cilinder... why haven't I thought of that?
watch your face and any flesh exposed as it sometimes likes to spray/stream out of the nut.
thanks for the advice, I've read about diesel poisoning, pretty horrendous stories :?
I've uploaded a couple of vids on youtube so you guys could check on my progress, here they are:
just blipping the throttle:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXGEHmZfkW0really loud! the k24 can be heard spooling on one of the accelerations
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wvykn1G-qwMreally hard to start and if I turn it off it won't start again easily.
its the only difference I see between your problem and mine, yours starts nicely.
