• I have the new alternator belt but the bentley manual does not really explain the steps to do it correctly.  Can someone fill me in please so I do not screw anything up.

• On the few I have done I had to remove the alternator to de-tension the AC/WP belt so I could get it off to get off the alt belt. Replace them both while you have it all apart. Extremely retarded design IMO.

• 1) remove power steering belt.
  2) remove water pump/ac belt.
  3)if you need to. remove old alt belt, then replace.
