Cracked head - causes?

What would cause a head to crack like this? My guess is very high EGTs

Not letting the engine warm up befor mashing to go pedal.

It can even be done to a naturally aspirated engine.

Yup

Might be more common to the naturally aspirated motors, as they probably are flogged cold more often due to lack of power
