I checked my stock but have none that size.

I have had good luck with these guys. http://www.bimmerzone.com/default.wws

They show $2.43/pc. The kicker is the $5+ shipping. Maybe you could combine it with some other parts to save on shipping.

I dont know where your at I bought mine at:
Halsey Imports in Portland Or.

I got tired of looking for shims at the wrecking yards (you can only find certain sizes) so I just bought 5 of each size for about .50 ea.

you can also get the entire kit with compresser and pliers for about 119.00 from jack at vwdieselparts.com

I've got a place, if you're near Chicago.
I think they were 50 cents each.

That place in Chicago doesn't have a catalog or website and they don't ship worth a damn.
The name is North Side Imports and if you walk through the door they will sell you old stock vw diesel parts for %10 over cost ... to them it's just taking up space in the warehouse but if you can't walk through the door or have a friend walk through it for you, it probably won't work out for you. I gave up trying to order anything from them and now have a friend in Chicago get stuff from them for me.
They do have a branch on the east coast ...South Plainfield, New Jersey ...908-755-7544, 888--472-2491 but I have never done business with them..
That disc you are looking for is on the thin side I don't have any that small in my box and they might not carry them either.

How does one get the shims out of the buckets? I have a whole collection of shims and buckets which came with my CSR, but haven't been able to get them apart without spending excessive time fiddling with them.

Ah...just blow through the slot on the side/top of the bucket, to get a little air under the shim, right?

Thanks Bro! :D

I usually drop a clean rag over the whole cam area when doing this to keep the oil from covering everything within 25 yards.
