ORCoaster, I'm not following you? Is there a post that was deleted that you were replying to?I believe this is what he was trying to run:https://www.tuning-diesels.com/store/DIGIBOOSTER-DGB-SM-FULL-KIT-p81288306?forcescroll=truecgi2099, why run such advanced electronics on an mTDI? I've seen two all-mechanical VNT control devices that have worked out very well. And dozens of wastegated turbo mTDI engines that have worked out incredibly well. As far as the pump, 500,000km is a fair bit of use, that's about 310,000 miles, but The VE pump on my current daily driver has 255,000 original miles on it, & my previous Bosch VE mechanical pump daily driver had 342,000 miles. Both have given me no troubles. If concerned, are you comfortable tearing into the pump to inspect it? Just doing a reseal job isn't a bad job at all.Verlin Martin's performance diesel shop in West Virginia might be able to inspect and reseal your pump for cheaper than your local quote if you aren't comfortable doing it yourself. Where are you located?
I think the post was removed that I was replying to. Something about what pump do we generally run. OP had a reference to a couple of systems and Fass was one of those. I looked it up and it was a filtration system not a IP so I was just mentioning that I use what VW installed and not some fancy pants, likely high priced, filter system.
