Greetings from Füssen Germany, where my newly purchased T3 with a JX engine. I ended up running it out of fuel, turns out 1/4 tank is actually empty. And the rust particles at the bottom of the tank made it to the fuel filter causing a no start situation.
Managed to change the filter, drive about 100m (we are in Europe now), where it proceeded to die again. I towed it to the local shop where we troubleshot, forced air into the fuel tank while cranking, disconnected the feed line and placed the feed line into a bottle of diesel.
Every time it would idle poorly and die. Throttle response was nihl. When the motor stopped running a large amount of air bubbles flowed back toward the fuel filter. We then held a bottle of diesel fuel above the pump and only then did it run just fine.
The mechanic says the pump is going. I suggested installing a universal 5 gallon per minute inline pump to force fuel into the IP. What are your guys thoughts, input etc? We are here on our honeymoon. We bought this van and intend tho travel around Europe for two weeks then import it back to the states.
Thank you,
Justin
