anyway,
i shimmed the govenor a little bit and now around 45-4700rpm it acts as if it is being turned off. the engine just stops for like a quarter of a second then comes back on and it bucks and all sorts of things. and it not jsut the govenor cutting out the engine actually stops like when i turn off the key. I have my full load screw tuned in all the way and i have my return orfice enlargened a little to reduce the sticky throttle syndrome. i also removed one of the shims in the timing advance to make the advance curve closer to normal. any way what is causing this? i was thinking its pumping soo much fuel through that its pulling the fuel solenoid plunger down and effectivly turning the engine off for a little bit.
does anyone have any idea of whats goin on?
thanks for the help.
You are cavitating the fuel. Either get a new fuel filter, or add a fuel pump.
thanks for the help.
i'd only want about 5 psi comming from the pump right?
and should i put this before or after the filter?
thanks again
Yup. Mount it Before the filter.
