Me and the doc yesterday ripped off my monster piece of crap turbo and through on a k24. Well 1st is useless and second is prwetty bad to but i havent really beaten it up bad yet so im not sure what third is like. From a roll in second i can hit it and the tires will start spining. I have 205 50 r15 s on this thing. gosh i love the quick spooling.

back on topic, Smokey's jetta does move pretty good. Still need to tie up a few loose ends, then dial up the boost controller some more. K24's really rock! No match for my ecodiesel passat though.

Smokey,Does your engine run clean on 25 psi or is it in need of more boost?

Just don't hold her at 27+psi for extended peroids .Anyways glad to hear that you've got some boost again .

Sounds like you need a bigger turbo, I bet your drive pressures are way out to wack, try a .48 turbine with a 50 trim compressor.

I'm being VERY sarcastic. hehe. The passat (the one you did the crank fix on TYVM!) is quite the slug, especially now that the A/C is (thankfully) working.

Smokeydub's intercooler is by far the most effective I've seen in some time. Once it's shrouded properly, it should be good for some rediculously higher boost levels.

Next summer I should have no problem in the purchase of one.....    Should be interesting with a K26 turbo but I think a k24 turbo will be just as sweet

homebrew intercooler, 15 psi, turbo II intake manifold, and it's really not fast at all. it barely beat the diesel rabbit i'm working on.
