I installed a garett turbo on my ECO motor before dropping it in my car, and when I got the turbo it had a hole in the waste gate can. I JB welded it and thought nothing more. Now I find out that there is supposed to be 2 nipples on the WG, I have a line running from the intake to the smaller (only nipple)

Installed a boost gauge today off of same source and am seeing 16psi by 5k in 4th gear going up a mountain. boost really just seems to rise with rpm's also being it is a ECO pump I really didn't expect to see that much boost, around 3k I have 8-10psi. the exhaust is a stock NA setup with the DP lined up close but not perfect seating on the turbo.

Next week I am going to be installing a 2.5" DP from the turbo back that should allow me to spool quicker but my concern is how to regulate the boost now... I would like to add more fuel (EGT will be installed on DP) as I never ever see any smoke and know I could use alittle more giddy up.

so to regulate boost do I have to tap the side of the WG I JB welded and put another nipple or run one of the 2 lines on the compressor housing to the existing nipple for more control?  I not really sure, I am used to bleeding the line to the WG to get more boost but now this WG had 2 nipples...

ive always known wg cans with two lines are for boost and vacuum, the one furthest out from the rod being the boost side and the other for vacuum to pull the wg open for light throttle driving to keep the boost off. if you were putting boost into the vacuum port it would just hold the wg closed harder from forcing the rod to pull in the wrong direction.
you could check this by hooking a vacuum pump up to the port and see if it moves your wg open

I really think your probably OK with the boost you have now.  If you haven't increased your fuel delivery, and your boost is higher, then your EGT should be lower.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

big line is pressure from turbo, small line is indeed a bleed back to the low pressure side to help keep stuff cool.

yeah, but I am trying to increase fuel soon... the only thing holding me back is a lack of IC to go over 15psi without being more prone to blowing a headgasket as right now it IS my only car.

I did hook the line from pre turbine on compressor housing to the wg can I think it kept boost below 12psi I have to check tomorrow at the same place I got 15psi (not normal drive)  will have to post after tomorrow results.
