mk2 engine in mk1-downpipe?
« on: May 12, 2006, 03:42:36 pm »
i'm putting a 1.6t from a mk2 into a rabbit, and am wondering what to do about the downpipe. will the mk2 one work, or can i get one from a mk1 and simply bolt it on? Or is the whole manifold/turbo assembly different? thanks!

If you use the cast iron outlet pipe, you will need to modify a MKI downpipe to work. Its not that hard, it just requires a little bit of welding.

Passenger Performance and Techtonics both sell a pipe for this application.
