Seeing as my clutch is slipping, I'd need some info

Is there any difference in pressureplates/clutch/flywheel... from a 8v gasser to a 1.6L MF code TD?
(I think the flywheel is different)

or are they in fact the same?

you can use a flywheel and pressure plate from the 2l 16v gasser that came in the gti golf. they are 210 mm compared to the stock td one measuring at 200 mm.

i have posts on this subject,run a search,and lemme know if you find 'em!!!if not ill go into detail,,i got(had) a centerforce dualfriction in my jetta ,,,,,it was nice(it doesnt have the little weights though,its "like " a stocker,and the disc cush drive springs are doubled up,less lash,its nice,lemme know if you dont find my 210mm diesel clutch setup posts,there are some pitfalls,like having to redo the timing mark,basically...have fun!! :idea:(use a clutch from a 83-4 rabbit gti,basically)

I've heard of the 16v pp/flywheel trick

but chapter 5 section 2 of the bentley
(I dunno if the link will work, but I'll post it anways)

how about a diesel vanagon flywheel?

I guess its a 215mm...will that fit in a 020 trans?

I'm using a sachs racing clutch (pressure plate and sinter disc). It's very smooth and feels like the stock one. Another good thing about it is that it lasts longer than the 020 gearbox (450nm). I've had to toss my tranny in the trash can, but the clutch is fine.
