so today at napa, my work, i was working on learning the computer system they have, so i started looking through air filter sizes, in order to find a thicker one.

our filters are 13.175X5.25X1.275,  and i found that there was only one other filter that was 13.175X5.25, and that's the filter for 91-95 wranglers, both engines, and 93-95 yj, again both engines.  i forget the thickness but it's over 2 inches, so ur getting almost another inch of element, i pulled both filters out and looked at them, and they are indeed the same size.  what do yall think?

i was over at diesel jims and the filters he had were as thick if not thicker than the jeep ones,  and he he says they're for the diesels, and that it's what he gets when he orders them for diesels.  so i guess i have found nothing :^(

Why no run a cone filter and remove the entire air box

Under your airbox, you should have a plastic cap, similar to the ones in the floor pan of your car, pop that out, and you have a nice opening to ground air
