I relocated the bung in my pan.
Whacked out enough steel to have the patch lay flat. This has given me enough space between the pan and the axle.
As you can see, the problem with doing that is getting the weld sealed up properly so the oil doesn't seep out the little pin holes in the weld...
Weld, spray wd40, check for leaks, wipe, weld , repeat... and I still didn't get it right...
On the 1.6TD diesel, I had the axle hammer it's own clearance out. Wasn't intentional, but that's how that one worked out...
Sitting on jeep YJ 5 leaf rear springs sprung under on all four corners...
Running 225/75R15 tires

That popped up last trip.
