I'm doing an AAZ swap into my Vanagon and would like to do the timing belt before I install the engine.
The transmission is not mounted and there is no timing mark on the crank pulley that I know of.
Is there one on the vibration dampener? I can't see any marks on the block to line one up with either

Is there a tool to use on the crank pulley to hold it @ TDC?
Thanks for the help, I'm new to AAZ's

There should be one on the flywheel. If you haven't taken the belt off already just mark each sprockets location in relation to the block
