Trouble finding turbo goodies.

Greetings,
I'm having trouble finding the proper td parts to make my setup work.
I have a cast t3 log manifold from ebay, and a t25 from a 300d. Nothing else. I used to have everything bookmarked, but they're lost.
Any recommendations?

I don't quite understand your question.
Do you want to know what parts you need to put a turbo on a VW 1.6 diesel?
Aside from the turbo, exhaust and intake manifolds... You need a way to get filtered air into your turbo. You need a way to get exhaust out of the turbo. You need the hose from the turbo to intake. You need a means to get pressurized oil from the oil filter flange to the turbo, and to drain the oil from the turbo back to the oil pan.
Everything I mentioned above is a special TD part on a VW.
You could probably get away with just buying an intake manifold and fabricating the other parts, modifying the oil pan, etc. Some people have also modified gas manifolds because they bolt up to the head. None of it is all that complicated. But ideally get a complete TD car because it has everything you need, the air filter box, the manifolds and pipes, the hoses and some things that you don't actually need but are great to have- the boost compensating injection pump+injectors, the revised PCV system, the block with the oil squirters, the bigger radiator, the oil cooler... those are the things that came on factory TD cars. Try the classifieds here and also on the Vortex, check craigslist in your area be sure to check all the nearby cities...

-T25 from MB300d
-Ebay cast log manifold for 8v/t3 (exhaust)
-G60 intake Manifold
-Evo8 FMIC
No piping yet, and nothings mounted. I'm having the most trouble finding a decent t-2 to t-3 adapter that's not 2+ inches tall. I have room behind the motor; but not much.
I have a feeling I'm going to end up making one. Not like I don't have a bridgeport at work. Gotta order some stainless anyways.

ok, I hate to threadjack, but could you supply oil from just the oil filter housing, to the turbo, then have the return go back to the breather line on the side of the block? or does it need to be direct gravity flow? just wondering since I see a lot of jacked up oil pans and junk. lol

It doesn't have to be a perfect straight line down but it should be close to it.
As for OP, is there any reason you must use the turbo you have?
Aside from the exhaust connection being all different, I thought the MBZ turbos weren't really what you wanted on a VW. I don't know exactly how turbos work (magic) but I thought the characteristics of them aren't really what works well with our motors, which have very different operating characteristics than the OM617. I don't think it would be worth the extra hassle and the T3 came in all sorts of other stuff, if you can find one with the right trim characteristics, that may be the way to go.

what for turbo do you have? i didn't know mercedes ever used a t25. they did use some kind of a kkk turbo tho that may or may not have had a t25 flange. are you sure you don't have a vnt, those are usually t25 flanged. take pics and post all the numbers that are on it. actual t25s came in lots of different trims and a/r's just like t3s, but for the most part a t25 will be a good fast spooling turbo for a vw, just can't run too much boost.
and i think what you're referring to about the merc turbos not working well is slow spooling, the exhaust side on them is pretty big for a vw. intake side is really good for a vw tho, the exhaust has more to do with how fast they spool.

Turbos from an om602, not a 617. W124 mercedes.
Its a fresh rebuild, 42ar hotside. Definitely a t2 chassis turbo. Different wheels then stock.
