thats a NICE OIL PAN!!how thick of plate is welded to it?
You need to get that thing running a little better if you think a 1.6 is more fun than a 1.9! I wouldn't go back to a 1.6.....

I wouldn't go back to a 1.6.....Maybe, but nothing is going to change the characteristics of that long stroke crank. Which is why I prefer the 1.6.In a light mk1 chassis I prefer the feel of the 1.6, maybe the lazy torquey 1.9 is quicker - but the 1.6 is more fun.Depends on the roads I suppose, ours are all twisty tight backroads and some singletrack, lots of action in the gearbox around 3rd.

The trouble with Americans, is that their country roads go down to three lane.... Each way.Contrast with Brit's use of the word:Uploaded with ImageShack.us

In Holmes County Ohio there isn't a 3 or 4 lane highway, just single lanes going in each direction...unless you count the turn lanes in town . SO Mark, not all Americans think that way
I see all the American movies, and I'm yet to see a 'Brit' type road yet... And they never lie Then there's Canada, all pine trees and snow...
