Will this work in my 1.6D mechanical 1.6 head?

Are the "notches" the same? It has a one notch/factory fibre gasket in it right now. Pulling the head today, installing arp cosworth studs: might aswell go MLS as one day this things getting turbo.

Gonna be leaving shortly, parts place is just a small hike. Need to know!

its not a DIRECT fit.. but it can be used with a few small modifications..
92 Jetta GLI - Black, 1.6D w/ GT2056V turbo..
86 GTI - 4 Door, Med Twilight Gray, Tow Machine..
86 Audi Coupe GT - Tornado Red, All Stock.. WRECKED.
89 Toyota 4Runner - Dark Grey Metallic, LIFTED!

Turbo: exhaust gasses go into the turbocharger and spin it, witchcraft happens and you go faster.

I recall reading about plugging some oil galley hole or something, and seeing people put a gasket over it.

Are the notches the same for both? I don't want to get the wrong thickness.

It's a mechanical head, if I remember things correctly.

Pucks to set lash.

Is this going to be a problem? I just REALLY don't want to buy the wrong gasket....

oh, yea... GOTTA USE AN AAZ GASKET, not TDI..

TDI gasket is for direct injection, and has nowhere to seal to the pre cup..

i didnt look at the link first, just assumed it was linked to an AAZ gasket..

They didnt have aaz gaskets in stock.

Ended up with a normal mechanical fibre gasket.

I can never seem to get out of spending less then a c-note at that place....
