it is a similar hybrid, but the k24 has a .30 a/r exhaust housing, and an extra blade on the turbine wheel, where as the t3 has a .36 a/r, k26 has a larger compressor inducer than a 45 trim t3, so you are dealing with a more restrictive hot side, and a cold side that can flow even more than the mercedes turbo. the 45 trim compressor mated to a .36 ar hot side was also a factory turbo on diesel scouts. i think it should work well from all the numbers i have plugged so far, if not i can simply bolt the vw compressor back on. with out leaving the compressor map the 45 trim compressor is good for 180hp. on the euro escort rs's, the .36 housing is good for 230hp(with a stage 2 turbine wheel.) since gas vs diesel take roughly the same amount air for the same hp range, and diesel egts are much lower resulting in a lower volume of exhaust gas flow, i think the .36 is capable of flowing close to what the mercedes compressor can put out, with out the stage 2 wheel. also comparing a k26 is hard cause there are quite a few different ones.
