aaz injector nozzle question

I dropped my injectors off at the local diesel place for a rebuild. he couldnt find the nozzles so he "cleaned everything up the best he could". When I put everything back together I had a major knock on one cylinder. It happened one or two times and never happened again.
fast forward about 2 months... and I found the nozzles. is it possible for me to just swap the new nozzles on without calibration? Im assuming the guy didnt do any lapping, he charged me 40$ I think for the "cleanup" of the nozzles. Im not sure what he all did. Currently the truck idles flawlessly. I just wanted to put new nozzles on because the entire motor was trash when I bought it. Everything has been rebuilt, I figured new nozzles would be good? Can I just swap the nozzles on without lapping and rock and roll? Do they need to be calibrated? Should I just take them in and have them redone completely?
thanks!

If the engine is running well, then don't change the nozzles for the sake of it.
Chances are that new nozzles won't end up as well balanced as they wear in, and will need tinkering with. Ratio of presquirt to main should remain unaltered though I suspect.
Keep them for when you have problems of smoke at idle or other. [IMO]

I see. Were you pumping fast enough, according to Bosch 'instructions' [just checking]
I'd certainly give them a quick clean and reassemble, test and then 'give in'
I don't have much experience of 'new' nozzles, but the 4 recently purchased, and sealed in jelly; new 'old stock' were not the panacea I was hoping for; whilst 'recovered' nozzles that are well used and settled have been great

these seem pretty clean. maybe now that the truck is down for a few days, I'll install the nozzles, and just see how it is.
