enough boost is when you have 3 dimple marks in the hood from the valve cover nuts..
Y'all should quantify where those EGT's you're quoting are measured from.
Hi,sounds i bit conservativ or?In my bmw 524td the egt goes up to 1800°F, when i pull it hard through three or four gears.In the higher gears i use the egt gauge as shiftlight, when the temperature goes above 1650°F,so the 1800°F will be only for less than one second.As i know the stock egt for that bmw engine under full load is 1470°F and also the stock tdi egtfrom the actual engines (with 24 psi boost) are in that range.Best Regards 1800*f and you arent blowing chunks of piston or rings out the tail pipe? wow..
