Industrial Injection experiences, stories
« on: June 08, 2010, 10:10:08 pm »
I just got referred to take my pump to Industrial Injection out of Salt Lake City Utah but I've never heard of them. There place is supposed to be super clean and they're supposed to know their stuff (which the website only states Dodge, GM, and f*rd). Has anyone ever dealt with them? How was service/quality? There site seems like they're of the right mindset, "don't buy crappy chinese knockoff turbo's or IP's on ebay" but paying a little more for reputation can be worth it, i.e. shipping across the boarder to Giles. It's just so tempting because I could drop my pump off to them next time i'm down there visiting my brother in law.

Thought I'd ask.

I'm not sure why you would think of having a pump built or serviced by anyone other than Giles & Co.
The customer service is phenomenal, the turn-around time was not bad at all shipping from California and he/they are basically the foremost authorities on these old pumps.

I've never heard anything but good about Industrial Injection, particularly regarding turbos.  I have talked to them a few times.  They gave me a sense they knew their stuff.  What exactly are you doing to your pump?  Basic rebuild, or performance?  I would imagine they do a good job on basic rebuilds.  Probably wouldn't trust a performance rebuild to anyone but Giles.

THAT is what I was after. I'll keep saving my pennies.

Industrial Injection is a very good shop. I know the owners, and deal with them a lot. Never had a Bousch pump done by them though. Very reasonable guys to work with.

Lot of difference between $400 or so and $700 or so(what I've been led to believe a giles tuned pump runs).  I don't doubt his ability or it's worth a bit, but money is money.  Ind Inj is on my list if I ever end up with a pump I can't fix, so are http://www.mwfi.com.
Many things we do naturally become difficult only when we try to make them intellectual subjects. It is possible to know so much about a subject that you become ignorant.
