Small block chevy rod bolts fit our 1.6Ds?
« on: May 27, 2010, 09:00:57 pm »
I have heard that small block chevy rod bolts will fit our 1.6Ds and ARP are pretty cheap for the chevy.
Only difference is the heads are oval instead of round.
Anyone else hear this?,.. maybe it was Ford...

if you have the dimensions call the guys at arp, I did, and I found another part no for 11mm head bolts and got them through summit and they were only 140.00 same length dia. and thread pitch but different P/N.  He looked at some kind of cross reference, so I think that there is a possibility of there being a matching number but different P/N.

Here's a post about the 302 Ford rod bolts.
It links to a very old vortex post,.. so maybe the folks have had time to test them.
