Oil Pump

Does anybody know which oil pumps are interchangeable with the 1.9 IDI oil pumps?? They all look fairly similar - and the gas oil pumps seem to be easier and less money to get.

but they spin the wrong way. you need a 36mm diesel oil pump. or just order the right one.

nope, the gas ones spin the same way.

the im shaft spins the other direction, but the gear on the end is cut the other direction, so the gas and diesel oil pumps spin the same way.

the issue, however, is that the gasser oil pumps have a shorter shaft, and don't engage the drive in the vacuum pump.

oh yea, forgot about the reverse cut gears for the diesel oil pump. but i knew something was different making it not do-able.
