TD head
« on: November 30, 2009, 10:06:49 am »
I know I've read where the TD head has had special heat treating to make it better able to stand heat, pressure, etc. that the TD engine makes.  Instead of redoing the TD head there are new heads (assuming not specifially for TD) that would be easier to buy, add valves, seals, springs, and retainers and it's ready to go.  Will it work on a TD if not specifially for a TD 1.6?   (would have better sealing surfaces for coolant, head surface would be clean, etc)
