need new head........

I am looking for a new compete 1.9L head for my 1.6.  Where do I get one, and is there any different "new" head I should stay away from?

I think Smokey Eddy is running that head.  A lot of that vendor's stuff is questionable, but people have had good luck with his heads I think.  No personal experience, just what I've seen here on the site.

I have no problem paying more for something better.  It says in the above auction that the head is OEM??

I have learned the hard way it is cheaper to pay more to do it right the first time, then to pay even more to do it again a second time.  I want the best reliability I can get.  If the above head is the best price I can get on a complete OEM HYD 1.9 head complete then thats what I will go for.  Anything other than OEM makes me nervous.


54321chris: are there any other decent VW parts sites that have better stuff??  My door handles are all broken, my calipers are hanging up, my rotors are warped, etc........Just looking for the better stuff.
