What's this part?

Hope it's not the receiver/dryer? It's part of the hose? must be expensive?

Its a filter on the suction hose.


Is it leaking?

No it's not. A/C is inop with no pressure in the lines. Where's the receiver dryer? I looked briefly but didn't see it. Not that I'm going to spend any money or time on the AC in the near future since it's on the bottom of the list priority wise.
