anti gravity valve

     so i've been having this problem, i posted to the troubleshooting section   http://www.vwdiesel.net/forum/index.php?topic=19710.0 about it, but i was wondering if you all could tell me of i wanted to take the anti gravity valve out of the fuel loop, and the overflow tank that hooks up to one side is non existent (always has been), can i just disconnect it from the fuel sender or from the valve itself without causing problems. i'm having a pressure problem i think.    thanks for any replies.
