Heats Up Fast !!!
« on: May 24, 2009, 07:33:15 am »
Picked up another car (engine) over the week. AAZ
Boy O Boy this this can produce some heat Fast. Faster then my car. which is odd to me..
this car had some funky WVO + gas/Kerosene + some wax looking bubbles.
replace the fuel (regular diesel) with nill effect.
the engine was tuned way up. smoke screw, idle screw. but i tuned it down.
coolant doesn't overheat nor spill of of the reservoir, top rad hose gets somewhat stiff but not hard (norm i guess), bottom rad hose gets hot.. rad fan comes on.
theres some kinda rad leak stop in the over flow, sitting in there.
after turn it down, it still gets hot fast.. weird i never had a car (engine) that heats up this fast where the rad fan just stays on.
one notch head gasket, T3 turbo

thoughts?

Timing too advanced[like farkman says], but my money is on the stop leak. I have never seen good things result from using that stuff. Worked on a couple of cars which had to have both rads replaced and the rest flushed out like crazy to remove every last bit of it to fix the overheating and no interior heat problems.

those bottles they sell you, theres enough in those bad boys to fix a big rigs radiator that you just drove a ford fiesta through.
