I have a motor with 250000km.
What should i be looking to replace when doing a major overhaul?

likely pistons with rings, all bearings, all gaskets, all seals, head bolts, clutch while it's apart, rod bolts, piston pin bushings
Let me know if you have trouble finding any of it

The couple IDI's I've had with those miles were still within spec - of course I used 100% synthetic oil, so even the hone marks were still in the bores. Have you done a compression test? That's sill low miles for these engines.

Whats this about the crankshaft pulley kenway? I cant find any recent posts about it...

The key way wipes out and causes major destruction to the end of the crank.
The fix is to take it off before it happens and machine it to fit a newer style AHU TDI crank pulley.
