Head Studs: Who's running them and which ones?
« on: March 12, 2009, 01:53:27 am »
So far 53 willys is using ARP Ford escort/sierra cosworth head studs.  Just wondering if there is actually a head stud specific for 1.6/1.9TD  (MF/AAZ)

Thanks.

The Ford Escort ones are the right ones for the 12m/m conversion.  I'm not sure about the 11's. They are a perfect fit and thread in lot deeper especially on the 11 m/m ones the factory 12 m/m bolts go deep enough but are the stretch type and ARP eliiminates that mess.

lol  not to many of those around western canada it seems.  Ended up ordering online.  For anyone interested  MJM Autohaus specifically lists a performance diesel head stud kit.  Which of course uses the ARP 251-4701 head studs.    Thanks for the help guys.

I'm using ARP Ford escort/sierra cosworth head studs too. I torqued mine to just over 100 lbs. only have about 400km and hits 25 psi regularily. No issues yet.
